Hello
friends welcome to my blog http://techsonwheel.blogspot.in/. In this quarter of year we have seen fantastic flagship Android smartphones being released. Whenever we hear about flagship device of a company us thing about
high end specs, also meant high price point. One Chinese company that is
looking to completely shake up the status quo the OnePlus, bringing their 2014
Flagship Killer here.
The OnePlus One stands out with
their “NEVER SETTLE” tag, but the biggest question remains will it be able to
stand true to it or not? The One boosts a 5.5inch 1080p full HD JDI screen with
LTPS technology for a higher pixel density and sharper pixel density and
sharper picture. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen against scratches,
and with 178 degree vision.
The performance is blazing fast in
the device as it features the most powerful processing package currently
available. Under the hood it has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor,
clocked at 2.5 Ghz and backed by Adreno 330 GPU. It also has a 3 GB of RAM
which is a bit of rarity in other certain flagship devices. The device runs on
Cyanogenmod 11S which is the latest OS by Cyanogen. The software behind CM 11S
knows how to the take full advantages of its processing capabilities. The CM
11S has a lot of customisation underneath and thus making it feel like stock
android. It can be customised with widgets or shortcuts and icon through the
settings or with their own theme engine. There are many more other features
like double tap wake up, on screen gestures or draw gestures for a various tasks.
On the hardware side the One has 16
GB and 64 GB variants at different price points, but it does not offers
expandable storage like other flagship devices which shouldn’t be surprising considering
the low price point. The device features Touch and Go, 3 MIC for noise
cancellation, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, USB OTG, gyroscope, onscreen or
capacitive buttons and all the other basic features. And atlast it packs a 3100
mAh non-removable battery.
The One has a 13 MP Sony Exmor
IMX214 sensor with f/2.0 aperture along with 6 physical lenses in it making it
an amazing shooter for low light conditions and also producing sharper image in
bright daylight. The cyanogens has its own camera application which also help
you change the settings for ISO, exposure compensation as well as change the
codec for video capture. The colour looks saturated and is not washed out and
is beautifully balanced in all proportions. It has a front facing 80º wide angle camera of 5 MP, making it
a great shooter for selfies. 4K video capture is available in it but surely you
would run out of space in 16 GB model. Slow motion video is also available at
720p for 60 or 120fps capture that yield half or quarter speed videos. Finally while
capturing photos you have do all the fun with all the live filters that are
available.
Finally we get on to the price the
16 GB Silk White comes with a price tag of $299 while the 64 GB Sandstone Black
for $349 only. At this price range there is Moto X available for $299 but is
not powerful as well. Next we have 16 GB Nexus 5 at $349 the closest competition
of OnePlus One. The main rival would be the Chinese brand Oppo Find 7a at $499.
The OnePlus One is a fully loaded
device which packs an impressive specs sheet affordable price.
