Moto X Style/Pure Edition |
As to all readers I just want to make it clear about what I'm referring to, as I can't speak out the two names i.e. Moto X Style or Pure Edition, when underneath its hood everything happens to be the same. These two phones have same internal specifications and features but are going to be sold by different names so as to put the customers in a position figuring out why Motorola made this so complicated? Though the phones hasn't hit the market yet, till then you can all clarify your doubts or speculations coming up in your mind.
The phone has revamped its line of specs targeting the other flagship phones in the market waiting to give a tough competition to its contenders. The device is like a baby of Nexus 6 and Moto X(2nd gen). It has the same design and feel of Nexus 6 except for the coloured metal band at the back the colour can be changed as per the 7 metal accents available. At the bottom of the band it has retained its dimple as its present in the Moto phones. The Moto X has replaceable back shells and the customers are able to choose among a bunch of different colours as well as the material of which they are made making a total of 18 inlays.
Moto X Pure has pretty killer specs on paper having a rocking 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor backed up by 3 gigabytes of RAM along with Adreno 418 GPU, Natural Language Processor and Contextual Computing Processor. The device has a 16/32/64 gigabytes of storage and can be expanded via microSD slot up to 128 gigabytes. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with near stock android feel. The device fits in a 3,000 mAh battery at its curve back and has superfast turbocharging which they claim to fastest on any phone which is like 10hrs of charge in 15mins plugged in. It has a 5.7inch Quad HD LCD display which is about 520 pixels per inch and the super thin bezels which makes it look really big. The screen has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has two front facing Stereo Speakers with smartboost technology. The camera unit has been upgraded from its previous version, it is a 21 megapixel unit with an aperture of f/2.0 at the back with dual LED flash which can record some crisp 4k video. In the front it has wide angle 5-megapixel selfie camera with a flash. The device has NFC, 802.11 a/g/b/n/ac as well as MIMO and LTE Cat 6 (upto 30mbps) Network connectivity . Putting everything under its hood it just weighs around 179 gram for this huge 5.7" device.
The Moto X Play is almost the same phone except for a downsized 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 615 processor along with 2 gigabytes of RAM and 16/32 GB of storage along with 128 GB expandable memory. The device packs in a huge battery of 3,630 mAh battery.
The Moto X Pure and Style Edition are going to enter US market on September with a very competitive price of $399.99 of both locked and unlocked devices. Motorola has laid out its card and now it's matter of time to see what result comes out of it whether it has liven up to your
definition or not.
